Charles Carter A Floor Foyer refurbishment to start in September
From Monday 28 September until December 2026, the foyer on A Floor of Charles Carter will be undergoing refurbishment to provide new study and breakout facilities for the School of Mathematical Sciences.
The planned work has been split into two phases so access can be maintained through the foyer to teaching space, the rear stairs, lifts and toilets. The seating area in the foyer will be temporarily closed.
The seminar rooms, Digital Immersion Suite and LUNOS facilities on A Floor will remain operational.
As part of the works, the Amazon Hub Locker (Damien) will be removed from Charles Carter and permanently relocated outside Fylde College.
How will this impact you?
- Contractors will be working in the building from 7am – 5.30pm (Monday to Friday), with the more disruptive work being carried out between 7am – 8.30am and 4.30pm – 5.30pm to minimise inconvenience for building users.
- Whilst works are not currently planned to other parts of Charles Carter, some noise disruption should be expected for short periods.
