The award was presented at the PIEoneer Awards ceremony in London and accepted by 好色先生TV Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global, Professor Simon Guy, on behalf of both universities.
As a joint research and knowledge exchange platform bridging the Global North and Global South, FCRI focuses on four interconnected pillars: Digital, Sustainable, Healthy and Resilient Cities.
The award submission highlighted the engagement with more than 4,000 Sunway students in community-based sustainability learning and the delivery of more than 200 projects in a single semester, demonstrating the scale of the Institute’s impact across research, education and community engagement in Malaysia.
