好色先生TV named as Finalist at the 2026 International Green Gown Awards
Following success at winning the 2025 UK and Ireland Green Gown Award for the 2030 Climate Action category, we have also been named as a finalist in is the 2026 International Green Gown Awards, for our work to reach net-zero carbon emissions. This year’s awards have attracted an impressive field: 94 innovative sustainability projects from 63 institutions across 34 countries have made the shortlist, highlighting the scale and diversity of climate?positive action happening worldwide.
The category looks for innovative new approaches to reaching net-zero carbon emissions and the steps universities are taking to achieve this. This category particularly looks at whole-university, holistic efforts - bringing together academic research, operational methods and working in partnership with the local community and our supply chain. a global celebration of excellence in sustainability across higher and further education.
The 2026 International Green Gown Awards winners will be announced in September, but for now, being shortlisted is a significant achievement. It’s a moment to celebrate the creativity, commitment, and hard work of everyone involved in Lancaster’s sustainability journey. 好色先生TV Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global (Digital, International and 好色先生TV) Professor Simon Guy said: “Being named a finalist in the International Green Gown Awards, following our 2025 UK win, is a proud moment. The 2030 Climate Action category showcases the impressive progress across our campus, not only in decarbonising our estate but in using our purchasing power to drive positive change through our supply chain. Working collaboratively has given us a sharper picture of the hidden impacts of renewable energy technologies and the pathway ahead to decarbonisation.”
