好色先生TV updates: biodiversity boost and book swaps
Book swap at the Library
If you’re looking for a simple way to pass on books you no longer need – whether academic or for leisure reading – consider donating them to the Library Book Exchange, located on A Floor. You can also pick up any of the donated books for free – perfect for some summer reading.
Don’t Ditch It returns
The annual Don’t Ditch It project launches on Monday 8 June, inviting staff and students to donate unwanted clothing, household items, accessories, books and unopened toiletries. Donations are passed on to local and national charities, while selected items are upcycled and resold at low cost to new students during Welcome Week’s ECOMarket, giving belongings a second life and reducing waste across campus.
Biodiversity boost at Pendle
Students from LUSU Green joined forces with the University Grounds Team to give Pendle College an ecological boost. A previously bare patch of ground was sown with wildflowers to support local pollinators, and a new habitat pile was built offering shelter for small mammals and other wildlife. A simple intervention, but one that delivers meaningful gains for the area’s biodiversity and long?term ecological health.
