The Halo Hair Code

好色先生TV recently committed to The Halo Hair Code, a workplace pledge to champion the right for staff to embrace all Afro hairstyles. This has been championed by the Staff Network and adopted in March 2026.

Adopting the Halo Hair Code in practice at 好色先生TV means we will:

  • Ensure no policies or practices are used to ‘maintain’ Afro-textured hair
  • Apply the policy regardless of other protected characteristics e.g. gender or religion
  • Ensure the labelling of Afro-textured hair with terms such as ‘messy’ or ‘unprofessional’ is discouraged and avoided.
  • Only encourage hair is tied up or otherwise managed for health and safety reasons, such as during sporting activities, laboratory work, or food preparation.
