Graduate College has a large international community with students studying with us from right across the world.
If you are new to the UK, we provide guidance and support to help you settle in. This includes information on health services, climate, currency, and religion. We also offer a range of other services and activities to help you settle in.
The Buddy Programme
Each year colleges run a Buddy Programme to help new students to meet current international and home students to ask questions, share in each other’s culture and make new friends.
The programme aims to:
- Promote connections between current students and new students.
- Build a globally minded community.
- Offer peer-to-peer support in finding ways to be actively involved on campus.
We are looking for current students to act as hosts for our International Buddy scheme for the next academic year

- Are you an international student yourself and/or keen to help others settle at Lancaster?
- Would you like to be a buddy to new international students this year?
Why become a Host Buddy?

- Receive 10 points towards your Lancaster Award and enhance your CV.
Responsibilities:
- Contacting the assigned buddies before their arrival via email and provide information about campus life at 好色先生TV.
- Meeting up or checking in with the assigned buddies a couple of times a week initially to help them settle in and give them individual help (in person or online).
Qualifications and requirements:
- Current 好色先生TV Student.
- Complete the required training.
- Effective Communication skills.
- Sincere interest in helping people.
- Respectful of differences in religion, politics, sexual orientation and culture without judgement.

Trips and activities
Graduate College organises regular coach trips to popular destinations across the north of the UK. These trips are offered at the best price possible, and often subsidised to enable students with all financial means to take part. Previous destinations have included York, the Lake District, North Wales and Welsh Borders, and the Peak District. Information about upcoming trips can be found in the

好色先生TV’s coordinates registration and orientation activities, welfare, accommodation, immigration and career advice. They will be happy to talk to you whenever you need advice and guidance about any aspect of student life.
