Applications for ESRC funding at 好色先生TV are now open. You can begin your application by completing the following form: . The deadline for applications to complete this form and upload all required documents is the 22nd February 2027, 5pm (GMT).

好色先生TV forms part of the ESRC's North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP). Each year at least 6 studentships, covering tuition and maintenance, are available for those wishing to study in areas covered by the ESRC at Lancaster, Liverpool, Lancashire, Manchester, or Keele.

Candidates may apply for funding towards Master's and doctoral (1+3) study or doctoral study only, and be full-time or part-time. The NWSSDTP does not fund standalone Master's programmes.

How to Apply for ESRC funding

Before you apply for funding, you need to apply for a place in a programme at 好色先生TV. To check whether that programme is eligible for NWSSSDTP (ESRC) funding, please check the list of ESRC-approved pathways (given further down this page).

Please indicate in your programme application that you are applying for ESRC funding in the 'Source of Funding' section.

If you decide to apply to the NWSSDTP after having submitted your Lancaster programme application, please contact pgadmissions@lancaster.ac.uk so your programme application can be updated.

If you are seeking funding, we strongly recommend submitting your programme application for a place at 好色先生TV no later than Monday 11th January 2027. This is to ensure that your programme application has time to be processed and that you will be in receipt of an offer of a programme place by the time funding is allocated.

Please note that the deadline for your funding application for the NWSSDTP is 22 February 2027.

Applications for ESRC funding at Lancaster must first complete the .

You will need your programme application number, details about your chosen programme and potential supervisors (including email addresses) and details about your referees (including email addresses).

After completing the form, a confirmation email will be sent to you containing a personal upload link which you will use to submit your remaining documents.

This form must be completed and all required documents uploaded via the link no later than the 22nd February 2027, 5 pm (GMT).

Using the upload link you will have received in your email, upload all of the following documents:

  • Your Bachelor's (and if relevant) Master's degree transcripts
  • Two supporting references (these can be submitted by your referees instead)

All documents, including references, must be uploaded by 22nd February 2027, 5pm (GMT).
